Help Us Help You!

We want to know what you like about (never home)maker! Right now, our content revolves around the stuff in our lives -- mainly vegetarian and vegan food and recipes, running, yoga, budget, etc. -- but we'd love to hear from you what you think we're doing best (or worst, if you care to share!). This doesn't mean we'll stop writing about certain topics (because we're going to keep doing our thing), of course. But your input will help us cater our posts to your specific healthy living interests.

So: Help us help YOU! All you have to do is participate in the poll below . . .

And if you have any healthy living questions you'd like answered, now's your chance! Just leave a comment or email us at neverhomemaker@gmail.com with any burning topics you're just dying to hear our opinions on. Maybe you don't know what kind of running shoes to buy. Or what foods are best post-run. Maybe you have no idea how to prepare tofu. Or why exactly marshmallows aren't vegan (some of you discovered this answer on Wednesday!) Anything in the healthy living world will do. In addition, if you have a question specifically for us, don't hesitate. We're gearing up for another FAQ post sometime in the near future.

We sincerely appreciate your input. Have a happy, healthy weekend!

Love, Ashley & Stephen

You may have covered this before - but do you have any tips for breathing while running? I'm terrible at it.

Jeremy and Kathleen -- Thanks for the idea. We'll definitely consider this topic for a future post. In the short term -- I'd say if you're having trouble breathing by running that you may want to slow down. You should do most of your training at a "conversational" pace -- meaning, you can talk while running. :) More in the future!

Your blog is all around fab... i found a website dedicated entirely to vegan marshmallows, although i think it may be dormant...it's kinda neat...http://veganmarshmallows.blogspot.com/

I voted for "food" but then realized that I should have voted for "I love it all"! I probably wouldn't read a blog only about running, for example, but I really enjoy your fitness posts and they've even (almost) inspired me to take a run around the neighborhood. Keep rocking!

Thanks, Emily! :) There's still time today to get that run in. Even if it's only five minutes. Enjoy!

I think it's great all around. Great recipies,
great workout ideas, great photography, great writing, humorous, etc. Keep up the good work!

I love it just as it is!

it's saying i voted and i didnt....food!

I picked running/fitness, but I think you do an awesome job with it all. It's a great site that I have been really enjoying. Keep up the good work.

food; running/fitness
equally important for a healthy body :)

I like to read your blog because you guys remind me of our couple. we're about the same age, same situation (house to fix up), and enjoy similar things, healthy living, lululemon clothes :P, saving on groceries, vegetarian cooking. So it's fun to read up on a similar couple that has similar taste, but in a different country :)

I love it all - I mean, you got me motivated enough to run my first 5k (I'm in my 3rd week of training, it's on May 29th) and that's huge. I mean, I've ran before, but never a 5k. You guys make it look (gasp) fun!

Love the recipes, the budget tips...love it all. Keep rockin it! :)

Here is another running question. and maybe I just know the answer. Which is time. i am new to running. Well, I used to run. And I definitely don''t go for speed, but endurance. When I used to run.. My speed was about 5.7 mph for about 35-40 minutes. Now I can barely do 5.0 for 15. Any tips on how to build endurance and gain a little extra speed? Aldo what do you eat post work out. I'd love some suggestions. :)

Wanted to pick two - vegan food plus running. I just found your blog via "this is why you're thin" - your pictures really stand out. Love the content so far.
