I have all sorts of odds and ends to go over. So, a random post it is. I think I mentioned this recently, but I’d like to get into some video posting (maybe once a week or every other) so I can just talk my way through a lot of this stuff.
If you’re looking for a way to give your applesauce a little holiday kick, try adding cranberries. I experimented a bit over Thanksgiving and we ate it so fast, I didn’t get a photo. But it’s easy. Cut up enough apples to nearly fill your slow cooker. (I leave the skins on.) Add a cup of fresh cranberries. Let it cook on high for around 3-4 hours. Then let it cool and blend until smooth (or not -- it’s your choice). It’s sweet and just slightly tart.
We used Honeycrisps. Add a squeeze of lemon juice. Then add a tablespoon or a couple tablespoons of sugar to adjust to your own preferences.
I have slowly gotten back into Barre3 again. We don’t have studios around here, so I’m using my online subscription. They have some fun prenatal workouts, though I’d love to see more in the 40-60 minute range. I know I don’t need to switch to those just yet, but I find regular Barre to be pretty intense, so I don’t want to get too crazy. This morning I did the Glow workout (around 40 minutes -- perfect time, if you ask me), and I feel limber and graceful!

My Thoughts on Barre (So Far)
D3 and Group B Strep
I gave like 10,000 vials of blood earlier this week and just got my results. I have really low D, which is at an 11 when it should be at very least a 30. I also tested positive for Group B Strep. I didn’t have any of this stuff with Ada, so I’m definitely feeling defeated and like I’ve done something wrong. Now I have to go on supplements (and I don’t have confidence they’ll raise my levels much) as well as antibiotics for the strep.
Anyone have experience with this? Words of wisdom? My midwife said they are relatively normal issues, but added to everything else we’ve gone through, I feel awful about it.
Have you guys seen the LAPD Active Shooter Video? It’s upsetting to watch, but it gives some valuable tips for how to survive a situation if you ever find yourself in one. I won’t go into the issue in depth, but I get especially upset about the mass shootings ever since one of the deadliest ones happened less than two miles from our old house. You always think these things happen other places, and then it’s in your hometown.
